Congress Trades
Stock transactions disclosed by members of the House of Representatives, from the Clerk’s Periodic Transaction Reports, updated weekly. Filings typically arrive 30-45 days after the trade, so everything here is a record of what already happened.
Loading this week’s filings…
Most widely traded
Trade dates in the last 90 days. Bars count members, not transactions or dollars: a member counts once per side.
Newly disclosed
By filing date. The trade itself happened earlier; both dates shown.
Largest stock trades
Filed in the last 30 days, ranked by the bottom of the bracket; equal brackets go newest filing first. Filers report a range, so the bar is the range. Bonds and funds are left out.
Most active filers
Transactions filed in the last 90 days. Activity, not performance.
Sector flow
Disclosed buys against sells by sector, trade dates in the last 90 days. Transaction counts.
Performance of disclosed buys
The one place on this page that scores trades.
Every disclosed purchase of a listed stock in the last 12 months, bought at the trade-date close and held to the latest close, against the S&P 500 over the same days. Each buy counts once, whatever its size, in any account the filing covers. Options, funds and bonds are not scored. Past disclosures, not investment advice.
Estimates, not performance. Hypothetical returns estimated from public disclosures; not actual portfolio performance. Past performance does not indicate future results. Appearing here does not suggest insider trading, a conflict of interest, or any violation of law.
About this data
- Source
- U.S. House Clerk Financial Disclosure Reports. Every trade links to its original PTR filing, which is authoritative.
- Scope
- House only. Senate not included.
- Delayed
- The STOCK Act allows up to 45 days after the trade (30 after notice), and some filings arrive later. Nothing here is real-time.
- Ranges
- Filers report brackets such as $1,001-$15,000, never exact amounts. No figure here is an exact dollar value.
- Owner
- Many trades are held by a spouse, dependent child or joint account, not the Member. Shown as Spouse, Dependent or Joint.
- Parsed automatically
- Trades are extracted from PDFs and may contain errors. Later filings can amend earlier ones (marked ). A trade filed more than 180 days after it happened is marked “dates not yet checked” until the filing has been checked by hand, since a misread date looks the same as a late filing. Until then it is listed but left out of the overview figures and the leaderboard, so their totals can sit slightly below the list of trades. A trade dated after its own filing is not shown.
